The Nymphaeum was Roman Philadelphia's grand public fountain, a two-storey marble monument dedicated to the water nymphs. Its carved niches and channels still frame a small park beside the Roman Theatre.
Most visitors walk past; stopping rewards with a sense of the ancient city's scale. Travellers who hire car & driver in Jordan park nearby and walk, and full package tours to Jordan often pause here between the Citadel and the Theatre.
