FAQ

The top questions travellers ask about Jordan — answered by our local team.

How much does it cost to hire a private tour driver in Jordan?

Hiring a private car and driver in Jordan typically costs between 80 and 120 USD per day (including fuel and driver service) for a standard car, and 130–190 USD for a minivan. Our transparent prices are shown in USD with the JOD equivalent and depend on the itinerary length. Multi-day car & driver hire and full package tours give you the best per-day value.

Do I need a visa to visit Jordan? Is the Jordan Pass worth it?

Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at Amman (Queen Alia) airport, the Wadi Arabah/Aqaba land border, or by applying online. The Jordan Pass (from about 70 JOD) bundles your visa fee with entry to Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum and 40+ attractions — it pays off if you stay 3+ nights and visit Petra.

Is it safe to travel to Jordan with a private driver?

Yes. Jordan is one of the safest countries in the Middle East for tourism. All our drivers are licensed, English-speaking, and know every route in the Kingdom. Travelling with a private driver adds comfort, flexibility and local insight at every stop.

What is the best time to visit Jordan?

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer pleasant temperatures across the country. Summer (June–August) is hot in Amman/Aqaba but fine in the mountains and the desert cools at night. Winter (December–February) is mild and can bring snow to Amman and Petra — a magical sight.

How many days do I need to see the main sights of Jordan?

We recommend 5–7 days for the classic circuit: Amman (1 day), Jerash and Ajloun (half-day), Madaba/Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea (1 day), Petra (1–2 days), and Wadi Rum (1–2 days). With 10–12 days you can also add Dana, Kerak, Aqaba, Umm Qais and the desert castles.

What is the cost of a full package tour in Jordan per person?

Full package tours in Jordan typically range from 120–180 USD per person per day depending on hotel category and season. A 3-day Petra & Wadi Rum package runs about 390–520 USD per person (double occupancy); a 5-day classic Jordan tour is roughly 700–900 USD per person. Single travellers pay a supplement of +70% as shown in our price tables.

Can I pay in USD or JOD? Which payment methods do you accept?

You can pay in USD through PayPal or in Jordanian Dinar (JOD) through PayTabs (credit/debit cards). All prices are displayed in both currencies using the fixed rate of 1 USD = 0.709 JOD.

Are entrance fees and meals included in the tour price?

Entrance fees are generally NOT included unless the tour page states otherwise — most travellers use the Jordan Pass to cover them. Our full package tours include hotels, private transport, your driver and the meals listed in the itinerary. Optional extras like guides, jeep safaris or hot-air balloon can be added at booking.

Can I customise the itinerary or request pick-up from a cruise port?

Absolutely. We specialise in flexible private tours. We pick up from Amman hotels, the Dead Sea, Aqaba hotels, the Wadi Arabah (Yitzhak Rabin) border and the Aqaba cruise port. Contact us or use the notes field at booking for a custom itinerary.

What happens after I book and pay? How do I manage my booking?

After you book you receive an e-mail with your booking number. Once your tour is approved you can pay securely online and an invoice is generated automatically. Log in with your booking number as username and your e-mail as password to view, change or cancel — changes and cancellations are confirmed by our team.

Is it safe for women travelling solo or for families?

Yes — Jordan is a very welcoming and safe destination. Many of our guests are solo female travellers and families. You can request a female-friendly itinerary and hotel choices; our team is happy to advise.

Do your drivers speak English and Spanish?

All our drivers speak English; many also speak basic Spanish, French or Italian. If you need a guide in French, Italian or Spanish for specific monuments (Petra, Jerash), we can add a licensed guide as an optional extra.
